Upgraded to MacOS Sonoma 14.0 October 7 2023 and now I cannot print any pdf files from Adobe Reader. Error Message says "The document could not be printed" "There were no pages selected to print". Adobe wants $ to convert to Word. Cannot "Select all" and copy to Word or Pages. Cannot "Select all" and print selection. Same issue with all pdf's. Work around is to open pdf file in Open Office Text and print from Open Office.

Indeed, I just found out about the Preview workaround , and it works! What a relief!
Hope Apple will make it work "normally" soon.
Thanks for your help!

Show more Less User level: Level 1Not helpful as it has been fully functional until this latest OS update.
Show more Less User level: Level 1After several months of putting off figuring out this "Adobe PDF not printing" issue, I just found this forum. I have Sonoma 14.1.2 and an Epson Workforce printer. It is fixed (for me anyway) now by deleting my Adobe Reader application and reinstalling the new version 2023.008.20423. Looks like someone, somewhere fixed the issue. Works perfectly now. https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Show more Less User level: Level 1I installed 14.1, installed current Canon driver, installed current "Reader" and of course I have Preview, I have a license for Acrobat. . . I can't print a pdf no matter what. Two error types: one is Filter failed, the other is "no page selected." Conversion pretty much wrecks the appearance of the document.
Any additional suggestions would be most welcome. TIA

"Mac OS 10.15 - 13.x • English • Version 23.008.20423"
This appears to suggest the reader version link you've clicked on is incapable of installing the Mac OS 14 / Sonoma version.
In any case, on my brand new M2 MBA, running the current Adobe Acrobat Reader version, it still fails and posts "this document could not be printed, kindly use . " blah blah
SOL? Nope, fortunately Im not dealing with complicated PDF files, and Preview does work.
HTH anyone similarly affected.
Unbelievable Adobe has no macOS Sonoma PDF reader!
Show more Less User level: Level 1Same thing. After installing the latest OS update Sonoma 14.4.1, my Acrobat Pro files will no longer print. Never had that issue before. Tried reinstalling Acrobat Pro and restarting my computer and still the same issue. Please fix this Apple.

Did you check if Adobe has an update?
Show more Less User level: Level 10 114,659 pointsInstall the current Adobe Acrobat Reader DC if you haven't already. Open the PDF, and use Adobe's toolbar print icon, not the Apple print facility from File menu : Print…
Acrobat Reader has no conversion to Word feature without you are paying Adobe an annual fee for that feature.
Show more Less User level: Level 2 211 pointsDid you try to print it using Preview app? Do you get the same error?
Show more Less User level: Level 1Thanks to all with their suggestions. As often happens, there were confounding factors. One was that Preview did not handle some crazy security feature that a law firm embedded in files I was sent. Another, I have to confess, was that I was using an Adobe product that was past its sell-by date. So, once I obtained the latest versions of Acrobat (and reader), I was able to print the weird files. But Preview still could not print those pesky files.
Show more Less User level: Level 10 114,659 pointsContact Adobe. Every application has a shelf life and if your version of Acrobat Pro is now unsupported by Adobe on Sonoma, you need to talk with them, or upgrade to the version that is currently supported on Sonoma.
Show more Less User level: Level 10 114,659 pointsBut you insist on using an ancient version of Acrobat Pro 2017 that is not officially supported on Sonoma by Adobe, and even if by some miracle that it did work through 14.2.0, that is no guarantee by Adobe or Apple that it would continue to work — simply because it had been working. Apple could have (and probably did) changed something in a macOS library that Acrobat 2017 uses and that might be enough to break it.
Here is Adobe's system requirements for Acrobat Pro 2017. Note support ended for macOS Sierra (10.12) but Adobe shows it working on Windows 11.
